In this party game, the children have a blindfold tied over their eyes so that they can't see at all. They are turned around and around to make them dizzy. Then they try to put the tail back on the donkey. It isn't easy to stick the donkey's tail in the right place.

You are good at reading stories in books. There are lots of other places to read things. Where else can we read stories and messages? Why do we read signposts and notices?

Have you ever been camping in a tent? Where did you go? What was it like at the camp? These children went camping with their uncle, while Aunty stayed at home. How could they send her a message when they were camping far away?

What do you know about vintage cars? They are really, old cars that are quite valuable. Sometimes people drive their vintage cars to join in a parade. Tin Lizzy was a vintage car that wanted to go in a parade. Instead, the old car was left sitting in a farm shed for many years. What do you think happened to Tin Lizzy in the end?

These children are good at pretending. They like to wear different clothes and pretend that they are far away having exciting adventures. They pretend that their tree house is really a castle or a pirate ship or .......what else?

We all need to use numbers in our lives every day, for counting and measuring and shopping. As well as being fun, playing games is a good way to get quicker at working with numbers. We can try to work out puzzles and tricks more quickly than our friends. There are good ways to count fast, too. Sometimes we even count down like space rockets!
